Happy New Year to all my readers,
It has been a wonderful winter in Cambridge this year. We have had some beautiful frosts recently, and snow which landed, but only at 3am in the morning! I happened to be awake and watched the snow blanket the conservation area where I live. I have been busy writing 'Dog Eat Dog' this Christmas. It is always enjoyable writing stories which take place in the summer when it is cold outside. I'm very excited about this book, and really hope that readers enjoy it as much as I do. It has been great to have Moobear on the cover. Moobear has been by my side, as always, as I write. I am so lucky to have her, and anyone who knows dogs, or shares their home with a dog knows that it is a great privilege. I recently came across the word 'Niksen', which is a Dutch word meaning the art of deliberately doing nothing, so as to reduce stress and feel more relaxed. This year, when people ask me if I have any new year resolutions, I will tell them that I aim to practice more niksen. Stop rushing around, and just smell the roses. I hope everyone has a wonderful year. Stay in touch. Cxx
