About me

Welcome to my website. Thank you for taking the time to visit.

I am the author of  The Cambridge Murder Mysteries

I hope to leave thoughts, photographs and inspirations. Please get in touch if you have any questions.

About me

My past includes quite a mix of experiences... from being a lecturer at Oxford University, to driving boats for Greenpeace.. to spending a lot of time at the BBC in Drama and Film departments, helping to make stories come to life on screen...

I grew up in Kent, then as a teenager moved to Buckinghamshire.

I have lived in Brighton, Oxford as an academic, London and Cambridge. Latterly,  I have chosen to settle in Cambridge as I love the big skies, and the flat land, and particularly enjoy living in the city centre itself. It also reminds me of my salad days and happy times working on my doctoral research.

I often walk along the river and through the colleges to the Backs, to brush the cobwebs away. I'm in awe of just how beautiful the place is.

We are a little land locked here. My favourite sea-side location is Holkham Beach in Norfolk. Empty and peaceful most of the time, though sometimes you might share the beach with a huge number of galloping horses!

I was the only child left at home in my early years. I think that's why I often made up stories in my head. I always had a fantasy land going on. I only started to write it down much later.

In the end I found it took hold of me.
